Welcome to our 5th year as a chapter! Our chapter has some BIG goals to increase our community impact over the next 3-5 years and members are at the center of it all!
We are excited to announce new ways to attract and retain members. If you weren’t able to attend our January 14th volunteer meeting, please send an email to email@example.com to let us know if you’re interested in volunteering. We’ll reach out to discuss areas where we could use your help. Thank you in advance!
Here are some highlights:
We are asking each member ambassador to reach out to 8-10 members to welcome and get to know each other, encourage them to participate in events, provide feedback or share ideas.
Working with members of our marketing committee, External Outreach volunteers will raise awareness of Impact100 East Bay by identifying corporations, women’s organizations and influential local philanthropists to sponsor new members, donate or invite interested women to our events. Volunteers are needed to help us identify and reach out to these organizations and individuals.
Many of you have expressed a desire to stay apprised of local needs and hear from our past grant recipients about progress made toward their transformational projects. We listened and, as a result, have scheduled three virtual events throughout the year. They are:
Community Update: April 6th 5:30-6:30. Join us as we take a deep dive into 1-2 critical current issues facing our communities. This event will give us an opportunity to educate ourselves in preparation for reviewing grant applications and voting on our 2021 grant recipient!
Grant Recipient “Impact Progress”: August 5th 5:30-6:30. Hear from two prior grant recipients – Covenant House (2020) and CASA of Contra Costa (2019). Learn about current issues they face, how they are responding and the impact our grants have made to our communities.
Holiday Wishes: November 30th 5:30-6:30. We’ll recognize “Giving Tuesday” by welcoming back some of our prior finalists. Learn what’s new and how we can help their clients experience a more joyous holiday season.
It’s going to be a great year!
