Thank you everyone for taking part in Impact100 East Bay’s 2020 grant award process. Those who attended the Grant Celebration on September 30th helped make the virtual event a spectacular success. If you missed the event, it was recorded and is available for video replay here .
Choosing between two such worthy proposals was difficult. Here is the outcome of our members’ voting:
- Grant Award of $109,000 to Covenant House (from each members’ $1,000 donation)
- Appreciation Award of $2,500 to Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center (from Members Plus donations, matching grants, and donations from Friends of Impact100 East Bay)
During difficult times, it is heartening to know that our collective philanthropy is helping those in need. Impact100 East Bay’s 2020 grant to Covenant House will be used to pilot on-site, robust mental health program for youth facing homelessness at CHC’s Oakland facility, based on L.A. success.
To our newest members and guests, we hope you found the evening enjoyable and informative. Participating in our annual grant celebration is a great way to better understand Impact100’s mission. We are women coming together to make a difference by pooling our charitable donations to fund transformational projects of local non-profits. That is impactful giving.
If you haven’t yet joined for 2021, you can do so online at Impact100 East Bay membership.
